As a course author, I would like to be able to manage source files in LORE, along with learning objects. These source files can be LaTeX files, which are used with latex2edx to author OLX. They can also be Adobe Illustrator files which are used to render SVGs. If I need to edit the OLX or SVG that make up a learning object, I want to have these files so I can work on the source instead of the output.
We already have a mechanism for importing, associating and storing static files with learning objects. We miss these source files because there aren't explicit dependencies expressed in the XML. Or maybe we're just not reading them -- I believe latex2edx leaves a reference to its source files in the OLX. Maybe Adobe Illustrator does the same when it creates an SVG.
