Hello,

I was trying to run Easyfig on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS but I had many problems

a) BLAST+ was not working well
b) I was not having output files
c) Stopped moments after starting

So this is what I did:

  1. I downloaded my .gb and the .fasta files from GenBank
  2. I manually downloaded the .csv file (Hit table) from BLASTn
  3. I took the .csv file and converted to .tsv in https://onlinecsvtools.com/convert-csv-to-tsv
  4. I added the .gb files to Easyfig and manually added the .tsv files
  5. It finally gave me an output

I hope this can help!

Hey @davidmadariaga
This is how I do it

  1. Use the .fasta files to BLASTn the genomes (option: align two o more sequences)
  2. In the description tab you will see a download button
  3. Click there and then download the Hit table CSV (see image)
  4. Then proceed with the other steps
