I have used Shotcut for only a few hours between yesterday and today and already got two crashes. Luckily the autosave saved me from losing hours of work.

Please tell me where to look for crash dumps to upload.

Why haven't you supplied the version and operating system requested in the template? For ALL of your bug reports you ignored that. Anyways, there is no crash dump, and we do not accept a simple bug report that it crashed with no explanation. That is not actionable.

That is not actionable.

I know, that's why I wanted to know how to provide you a crash dump or something actionable, because without that, anything else would be a waste of time.

Anyways, there is no crash dump,

I suggest you start by fixing that.

I forgot, I didn't ignore anything. There was no templa-... Wait, my bad. There is a (kind of) template. It's two lines and it starts with "This tracker is for defects only", so I thought "yeah this is a defect", didn't read any further and deleted it. My bad.

It's 23.11.29 on Manjaro linux, installed via the package manager

BTW crashed again right now upon moving a clip on the timeline.

Ctrl+Z seems to be what triggers the crash most of the times

As a test, would you be willing to test our portable Linux package from our download site? That test would help us narrow down if it is a code problem or a package/dependency problem.

That is still the case in 24.06 and 24.09. On macOS (M1, versions 14 Sonoma and 15 Sequoia) 'undo' (cmd-Z) also crashes. It happens when cutting a piece of a clip, copying that piece into the clipboard and then undo the cut.

Same happens when moving the current video timeline above or below another one.
