i cant download/install any minecraft version

I get this measege saying something like "this version of TL is incompatable with connetcting to the internet" when i try to download a minecraft version so i tried to go into the source code but it looks so diffrent than the normal .minecraft directory and there was no versions folder what do i do?

you could try replacing the TLauncher.jar file in the root directory with a newer one (download from their website) and see if it works out

PS. remember to keep the filename the same.

the .minecraft directory is in /JavaPortableLauncher/Data/AppData/

but that is only created after you run TL for the first time and the required libraries are downloaded. but you could copy over your original .minecraft folder (which you use to run the game natively).
