This feature request is not related to technical problem, but rather a usability issue.

Describe the solution you'd like
As a user in Moodle, I would like to navigate the course catalogue with categories and courses in a visually appealing tile / grid view, rather than the default list view.
I go to site home, then see a grid containing the top level categories, with a recognizable image. This is repeated for every lower category containing subcategories and courses. For courses in a category, I can consult the course information by opening this in a modal, popup or accordion type display, rather than having all the info listed on the ../course/index.php... page.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Other themes may offer something like this, and developing this for Boost Union myself is outside my capabilities.
