Spelling Errors

Minor spelling errors in English language entries occur occasionally, and they annoy many people. When I come across one, I would like to be able to correct it without a hassle. Can/May I be allowed to pursue this problem? If so, how may I accomplish this? Incidentally, I do contribute to Wiki in a monetary form every month and have done so for quite some time. So, my question isn't meant to be facetious. If permitted, I would take the utmost care in any corrections that I performed.
