STATUS:

Not really tested up until now, we've been waiting for a "real certificate" to sign the Mu Editor and see.

WHAT'S NEW:

@ntoll asked about pup's signing procedure and linked to an apparently "new way" documented at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/msix/package/create-certificate-package-signing.

LET's

Review this and make pup future-proof.

UPDATE:

Read the linked doc.
Guides in generating a self-signed cert.
No easy, automated, Let’s Encrypt-like way of generating code signing certificates - that was the expectation, bummer!

Doc links to signtool usage and examples.
