[BUG] App DOES NOT launch on MacOS

Describe the bug
As the title says, when you launch the app on MacOS it does not launch

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Download the app from here for MacOS
2. Attempt to run it from the command line/shell
3. Observe it does not launch and instead returns an error message

Expected behavior
The app should launch and run and work as expected

• Version: 16.16

Additional context
The error may only be exclusive to MacOS in virtual environments as this was only tested in a virtual environment. It may be that on a native MacOS system that the issue is not present
