What's Changed

Lots of things have moved or have been renamed to better match YNCA terminology, but things should still be recognizable if you used this package before.

Next to making the API more consistent the new implementation also makes adding new functions easier.

Check the README.md and example for an overview of the current state.

These were the guildlines flollowed during the API rewrite:

• YNCA functions that can be read (and optionally written) are represented as attributes
• YNCA functions that can only be written are represented with methods
• YNCA functions where writing results in an action are represented with methods (e.g. vol_up() which would otherwise be part of vol).
• YNCA functions have the same name on the Python API, but lowercase. Except when not possible due to Python naming restrictions like for 2CHDECODER which starts with a number.

Added functions:

• Party, PartyVol and PartyMute
• InitVolMode and InitVolLvl
• RemoteCode
• TwoChDecoder
• PureDirect mode

(this is a repeat reminder from the 3.2.2 release)

The ynca.Receiver class has been deprecated and replaced with the ynca.Ynca class.
This is to better represent that this library is about the YNCA API.

The ynca.Ynca class is a direct replacement for the deprecated ynca.Receiver class except for the inputs attribute on the ynca.Receiver class. That attribute is not available as such in YNCA and therefore does not belong into a class representing the API. However since it is useful functionality that most clients will need it has been replaced with the ynca.get_all_zone_inputs helper function with takes a ynca.Ynca class as input and returns a dictionary like the inputs attribute did.

There is a backward compatibility ynca.Receiver class in place which still work as before, but logs a deprecation warning.

The ynca.Receiver backward compatibility class will be removed in the next major version (timeframe unknown).
