It's possible, through use of half-brackets—i.e. ⎛⎞⎝⎠—but I'm not sure if I'd recommend it for pure text files since you end up with a pretty janky setup that really only works if you use extra spaces and tabs in order to line the lines up over multiple lines.

oh, i wanted to try it out, but how do we write these half-brackets in text-latex ?, i searched for them but didn't get it.
