The mainline driver is broken in Kernel 5.8 and 5.9 at the least: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=210241

It's causing kernel crashes and hangs.

Judging from the latest comment there, a patch for this landed on v5.13:
torvalds/linux@4fb1251
