integrate A-Tronix AX 12.0kW-3ph

Hi all.
I have an AX 12.0kW-3ph Inverter from A-Tronix. This is a rebrand and I have seen that it is identical to FoxEss H3 12.0 E. I have currently integrated my inverter into HA via FoxESS Cloud. Since the update interval of 5 minutes takes too long, I wanted to read out the inverter via Modbus Local. I have installed the integration and during configuration I get the error message: “Inverter model not supported: ‘AX 12.0kW-3ph’
Is there a way to use the H3 profile?

There is, if we add support for it! There are a few other H3 rebrands which we support already.

If you fancy having a crack at it yourself, start here. Otherwise, I might have some time on Friday or over the weekend.

Thank you so much, With a little trial and error I got it to work. Probably not perfect in terms of naming, but it works.

I have added the following to the file foxess_modbus/common/types.py:
AX = "AX"

And in this file foxess_modbus/inverter_profiles.py I have added this:
# AX 12.0kW-3ph # (presumably there are other sizes also) InverterModelProfile(InverterModel.AX, r"^AX\s*\d*(\.\d+)?").add_connection_type( ConnectionType.AUX, RegisterType.HOLDING, versions={None: Inv.H3}, special_registers=H3_REGISTERS, ),

Yep, that's pretty much the measure of it! Thanks for checking.

(I'd keep the "3ph" in the regex so we don't accidentally match a 1-phase inverter there, and make the capturing group non-optional as we do need to be able to parse out the capacity).
