Entity "sensor.total_yield_total" is active but shows no correct history in Home Assistant

I use the FoxEss Modbus integration and everything is working perfectly so far. However, the entity of the previous total generation does not work. Or I understand it wrong.

The entity changes the value, i.e. the value increases every minute because the generation is running. Logical so far. However, when I look at the graphical representation, it is a line. Also for the last few days. So it is displayed as if the current value had always been valid.

What could be the reason for this?

Can you have a look at the log files, and see if there are any warning messages being logged at those times where it dips?

Although, I assume the problem is those dips? That doesn't match your initial description however. Everything else looks fine.

Sorry, I realized my mistake. I was expecting to see a rising curve every day. But of course this is not the case, because the ratio between the daily production and the absolute total quantity is far too low.

The dips or gaps were always around 7 o'clock in the morning. I can't find anything about this in my Foxess log. The only error that often occurs for me is “Code 90 - Grid currently over Rating”. This always seems to occur when the inverter starts up in the morning.

Yeah, you can see the line slowly rising over the course of several days, which is what you'd expect: it's a total since the inverter was installed.
