Would be nice if we could find resources by domain, author/publisher, etc, while continuing to use the default WP search functions. I don't know what it takes to make metadata for custom post types indexed, but we need to figure it out, for this plugin and other projects.

Hi Sir,

I just want to confirm if you want the search functionality to be on all resource related pages(ie. resource page, resource category page, etc).

Thanks.

just to be clear, I don't want a separate search function. The site has a universal search in the header, but it doesn't include custom fields for the resources and tags.

For instance, on FREE, searching for paleontology (http://free.ed.gov/?s=paleontology) doesn't find this Life Sciences resources which is tagged with paleontology : http://free.ed.gov/resource/life_sciences_at_science360/

The Resource URL is also not included in the search, so even though the Beyond Penguins and Polar Bears resource has a URL of http://beyondpenguins.nsdl.org/ when I search for nsdl I don't find it.

I don't know WP well enough to know how the search is handled. I don't want to build custom queries to make these things searchable, but maybe we have to do something like that, or use a plugin like this one.
