lagging on iphone 12 and ipad #29
Comments
Hi @kiingqz I think in the latest iOS Apple updated the settings because I don't see them either. In the future I will update the warning message that is displayed. I do see settings for "WebGL 2.0" and "WebGL via Metal" so you can try playing around with those. They are both on for me. Another possibility is iPhone 12 doesn't have the CPU speed needed, I have never tested on that model, only on iPhone 13. |
oh okey do you think in future there will be a fix? |
The emulator is much more CPU bound than GPU is the issue. The graphics aren't super complex by modern standards but the CPU still takes quite a lot of power to emulate for the browser. |
hm okey i hope they bring the setting back |
What I meant was you don't need the setting anymore, I get good framerate now without the setting on iPhone 13 so basically Apple fixed the issue. What framerates are you getting on iPhone 12? |
i got 52 fps and gamefps 25 |
ok thanks - that's actually not too bad, youre getting around 80 percent of full speed. another thing you can try is running the European version of games. those natively run at 50 FPS which it looks like your device can handle. |
okey but that was the europe version mario 64 |
oh nice, that means youre getting full speed then! |
okey then. thanks for the answer or help |
and i am trying to find the setting GPU process WebGL but i dont find it
