Bug description

Since I upgrade from 27.1.8 to 28.0.4, I can't share from webui, but it works from dolphin on kde plasma or apple finder with nextcloud desktop client.

On the webui, it keeps loading, nothing to see in the logs and nextcloud.log related.

I saw #42200 #42313 and #42650 but nothing changed trying differents options...

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go in the file app
  2. Create a new folder/file, click on the "Person+" to open the share panel
  3. Loop always loading

Expected behavior

We should see the sharing menu

On the webui, it keeps loading, nothing to see in the logs and nextcloud.log related.

Please look at your browser console/Inspect screen. There should be something helpful under the Network tab. There may also be clues on the console.

And the Network tab?

Also, can you check there are no errors or warnings under Administration settings->Overview? (in the web UI)

I'm not seeing the same problem under any test conditions so far.

What browser and browser version is this, specifically?

@dvdsnchzIT

Brave up-to-date on windows
Firefox 124.0.2 on macOS
Firefox ESR 115.9.1 on Debian

Me too I don't understand whereis the problem...

Same problem here with the exact same error messages like as dvdsnchzIT has.
I already got problems with mimetypes after update because of missing mimetypes from the installed DrawIO app. After restoring the mimetypelist.js I got the hash issues solved, but after installing DrawIO the hash values are again wrong.

 - INVALID_HASH:
    - core/js/mimetypelist.js:

I guess this is unrelated to the issue here, just wanted to mention it because OC.MimeTypeList undefined sounds like it's related

Does this remedy it?

occ maintenance:repair

Possibly also:

occ maintenance:update-js

If so, how precisely did you deploy the update and run the upgrader?

Both commands change nothing here.

I deploy the upgrade and run the upgrader through my web client (firefox)

I am affected by the same issue with one of my nextcloud instances. I see these errors in the console

TypeError: OC.MimeType is undefined
Error while loading the file data TypeError: this.$el.querySelector(...) is null
[ERROR] files: Error while opening sidebar

I don't know what causes this as the upgrade process and installed apps are the same across multiple installations, but not all are affected.

Version: Nextcloud Hub 7 (28.0.4)

It works again here, after I updated Talk and Nextcloud Office, sorry I didn't test one by one :-/

Thats's dumb! Updating all the apps (also talk) fixed my issue with the sharing tab in the webgui.

I've tried updating all the apps and repair aswell but still the sharing does not work. However the errors in the console are different:

  • Press either CTRL + SHIFT + J to open the “console” tab of the Developer Tools.
  • Alternative method:
    1. Press either CTRL + SHIFT + I or F12 to open the Developer Tools.
    2. Click the “console” tab.

Safari

  • Press CMD + ALT + I to open the Web Inspector.
  • See Chrome’s step 2. (Chrome and Safari have pretty much identical dev tools.)
