From 71be8bad145b71554a04b5389bdf8ba16cea99ea Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: =?UTF-8?q?N=C3=ADcolas=20F=2E=20R=2E=20A=2E=20Prado?= Date: Mon, 3 Jun 2024 11:00:25 -0400 Subject: [PATCH] config: platforms-chromeos: Add serial delay for some Mediatek platforms MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Add test_character_delay to the Spherion, Tomato and Steelix platforms to workaround the fact that they're sometimes unable to process serial input fast enough, resulting in mangled commands and consequently flaky test results, as described in https://github.com/kernelci/kernelci-project/issues/366. The right place to do this change would be in the device-type template as described in LAVA's documentation [1]. This overriding in KernelCI is meant only as a temporary workaround to verify whether this fixes the issue. If it does, then we'll do it in LAVA upstream instead.
