It does work but it's annoying af. You have to add npm install --force in order to make it work. We are using Next.js 12.3.0 and react-editor 3.2.0

Nevertheless, it's quite annoying indeed. There is already an open issue for that: #2798 but the last response from an developer was october 2022....
