Please, update Alkor to officially support 1.13d (= latest Carbon version of Diablo 2).

After specific edits, items just vanish. Like when I add a 3rd socket to a 2-socket Staff. First, it seems to work, but if I switch weapons (pressing W), and switch back, the Staff is just gone.

Plus, I think there are some stats or items in 1.13d which Alkor doesn't recognize correctly.

I'm not sure I even have a Mac set up that can still run Diablo 2. There's a G3 at my parents' house that I used to play it on, but that's 100 miles away. I will gladly accept pull requests though, and it's cool that at least one person on the planet is still using this software!
I will try and install D2 on my Yosemite laptop over yule tide.

Regarding this bug (of which I was unaware) — try dropping the item and picking it up again, in game, and see if that helps.

Do you add an empty socket, or add a gem, or a socket and a gem? I don't remember how Alkor even worked in this regard.

If you want to play on Yosemite, add your D2 serials to B.net and download the current Mac version 1.14, it has support for newer OSes. You don't even need your CDs anymore.

Sadly, patch 1.14 lost support for anything below Mac OS X 10.10. The last OS capable of running patch 1.13 was Snow Leopard (10.6), there used to be a Carbon installer that added rudimental compability with Intel Macs.

Regarding the item, I added a third socket. Two sockets were already in use and formed a Runeword. I was not able to add/remove anything to/from sockets, the + and – buttons were not working. So I don't know how it should work, either. ;)

I will try dropping the item next time, thanks.
