setting keyboard size and position

Sliders are not a good way to set up the size, position and shape of a visual element.

I think a better way, UX wise, would be to have a mock of the keyboard where:

• the symbols are optionally replaced with meaningful indicators (or the indicators are drawn on top of the keyboard)
• ratio can be locked (I like square keys so that's be helpful)
• dragging the topmost part changes the vertical size (both if ratio is locked)
• dragging the sides changes the horizontal size (both if ratio is locked)
• dragging the center to the sides moves the keyboard accordingly

That would be better because the user is acting on the thing that they want to modify, not through a proxy (that'd be a slider right now). It also resolves the UX issue of the vertical and horizontal sizes being changed by different actions (horizontal via a slider, vertical via keyboard swipes), and would free up two swipe actions.

is the vertical scaling only done with the magnifying glass symbols? i like that it can be done independent of each other, but it's rather slow to swipe the one key; I'd like portrait and landscape to each scale separately, as well, 'cause that would make switching between orientations much more feasible.
