Xbox controller no longer recognized by MSFS2024 after vjoy install

After installing vjoy my xbox controller was no longer listed as an available device in msfs2024. Both vjoy and the xbox controller were listed in the windows usb game controllers utility, and working correctly. Vjoy and the xbox controller worked in DCS world. I resolved the issue by uninstalling vjoy and manually deleting c:\Windows\System32\drivers\vjoy.sys.
