Cannot install apps

Using tiny11 (not core) I tried installing Brave browser and apps from Ninite, and all I get is that there's a TLS issue, or a firewall issue and no internet connectivity.

Of course I can browse and download the installers, but if the installer has to get the rest of the package, it fails.
