Bug Report

Problematic Behavior
Users are experiencing unusually high processor usage during application usage, which leads to degraded audio and video quality.

Expected Behavior
Processor usage should remain within normal limits, ensuring smooth audio and video quality without interruptions or degradation.

Je viens de faire des tests tout seul dans une room :

  • sous Chromium 131.0.6778.204
    • sans webcam : CPU 10 + 6 + 3 %
    • avec webcam fullscreen : CPU 25 + 20 +12 %
    • avec webcam petite fenêtre : CPU 25 + 11 + 10 %
  • sous Firefox 133.0.3
    • sans webcam : CPU 30 %
    • avec webcam fullscreen : CPU 120 + 10 %
    • avec webcam petite fenêtre : CPU 60 + 10 %

Les sommes de valeurs sont celles des différents processes que je vois, on dirait donc que Chrome parvient mieux à paralléliser les workers.

Le ressenti sur Chromium est très fluide en toutes circonstances, mais sous Firefox en fullscreen le FPS diminue et un CPU monte à 100 %. Il faut noter que chez moi Firefox est plus lent en général, et en particulier sur certains sites, notamment https://pad.numerique.gouv.fr/
