Is it evil to collect data? What is evil? Before we run into philosophical discussions, something that I'm certain of is that tracking how your users use your application can help you immensely in improving it.
Most open-source projects fail to get traction from the mass market since they lack what makes for-profit companies succeed - being user-centric. Since Jarvis is an open-source project, everybody can make whatever version they want for themselves/their audience. But I want Jarvis to reach the common people. And that requires putting a lot of effort into knowing what the users want, what doesn't work, etc...
I flagged this issue with the Discussion flag because I want to hear other people's opinions and to engage in a conversation about this.
