Can't seem to filter on blocked status

I have the following in a note

- [b] Fix the abbrevinator. [Comment:: Waiting for Jonny to push his changes]

And in my Tasks note I have the following inside of a tasks code block which returns 0 tasks:

is blocked
sort by priority
sort by due date
sort by start date

If I change the tasks code block from is blocked to is not blocked I get all tasks including the task above:

is not blocked
sort by priority
sort by due date
sort by start date

I feel that I'm missing something, I just can't think of what it could be.

I think you are confusing a custom status of [b] with the recently released task dependencies mechanism.

You can find both facilities in the user docs.

So is blocked is the task dependency mechanism and [b] is the custom status?

AH! I found the documentation and found that my assertion was correct. FWIW, the way that I solved this was by looking in the Tasks plugin settings under Custom Status I found the - [b] reference and it is configured as - [b] => [ ], name: 'BLOCKED', type: 'TODO'. This would also explain why when I used filter by function 'BLOCKED'.includes(task.status.type) did not work because it is of type TODO. My way around this was to use the status.name like so: filter by function task.status.name == 'BLOCKED'
