Cannot get three players into a game Arkahm LCG

I thought OCTGN was supposed to support more than 2 players. (See for example this thread 342547) Is this game dependent?

When starting Arkham LCG with three players I always find that the third player cannot start. The game will be stuck "the waiting for other players". Even when setting the third player to a spectator the third player does not manage to join. I have tried changing who host and who joins as a third player and it seems that always the third to join gets left stuck.
