!Lottery feature #66

Maybe have VileBot draw a random name from those who entered the lottery? |
One idea I had earlier was that everyone that is active in the chat is auto-entered into lottery. Vilebot has 2 random numbers between a predetermined range: one for max time and one for max donation (or pool amount). |
@Christopher-Chianelli that might be too frequent, as I like the idea of potentially having no one win. Also, we need to figure out if we should have multiple purchases of "tickets", as this may skew the lottery towards users who have lots of karma to put into the lottery. |
@itpun, if you like my idea and want the potential of no one to win, you could just have vilebot include EVERYONE that has +/- karma. . .so some randoms would be entered as well |
If there is no winner the money should go to the church. Now it's a charity lottery |
How about for each roll you do, you need to pay 1 karma which go into the lottery? Same with jeopardy and Omgword. On lottery day, VileBot will roll all of his karma. If you roll and win, you get the entire lottery, if you roll and lose, you lose all your karma. VIleBot is using a unfair dice so he will win more often. |
Looking to add a lottery that would help with sharing wealth of karma; this is meant to be an open discussion of how !Lottery should be implemented.
Some possible rules:
Vilebot does the lottery every Friday, if no winners, the pool gets set aside for the next week (frequency is debatable).
Have ticket holders buy numbers(?) might be really hard to get a close number...
Suggestions are welcome.
