Adaptor Protocol Version Not Supported (1.0.0)

Attempting to use and original KFD tool with version 1.8.3 (1.8.1 in about) software. Getting a message that i need to update the protocol on the adaptor. Unable to located the version 2.0 files for the original KFD Tool Hardware.

Hey there! Thank you for reaching out - as a workaround, please keep in mind that you can always use the original KFDtool software from https://github.com/kfdtool/kfdtool and that should work without issues.

That said, I'd be happy to try and help, though I don't have an original KFDtool to test with. Can you please share a screenshot of the error you're getting?

Here is a screen shot of the error. I have been using the 1.5.0 software from the original KFD Tool GIT...but was hoping to be able to load keys to my KVLs using the 1.8.3 release you came out with.

Thanks - I have the relevant code isolated (https://github.com/omahacommsys/KFDtool/blob/master/sw/control/KFDtool.Gui/MainWindow.xaml.cs#L793-L801) and we just need to figure out how to correctly handle this for the older KFDtool (protocol version 1.0 is valid) vs the newer KFD* (protocol version 2.0 or higher needed).

I'll bring this up with folks to see who has time to fix it. Thanks for bringing it up!

No problem! Another side note. If you download the artifacts zip from the 1.8.3 release and run the gui…it still says 1.8.1 in the about and on the top bar. Get Outlook for iOS<https://aka.ms/o0ukef>
