I would find the automatic tracing extremly handy when digitizing new features in QField.
I know topological editing performs this function very well when I digitize within a layer.
But I also frequently draw new geometries in child layers that are meant to align with geometries from the parent layer. Here the topological editing of QField does not help and the clean digitizing of common boundaries is currently still associated with trickery or not possible at all.
