I own a Xiaomi Fang cam since several months but never really used it. Now I stumbled over this interesting project after looking at the repo from @samtap.

Thanks for your effort to continue supporting these hardware and implementing new features.

However, right now I am missing a good (and detailed) manual, maybe even with pictures explaining how to use this.

Also the overall project description could explain a bit more like:

  • Differences between Xiaomi, Wyze, whatever hardware and whether there are differences/are all supported?
  • What gets changed when installing this (does the proprietary cloud still work like when using the approach from @samtap? Explaining that the SD needs to stay inside of the device etc.)
  • What does currently not work (I think auto-night mode is an example)

Structure:

  • Move install description to a wiki for example and only link to it from the readme, so it is not messed up too much, also the changelog can be realised with the release function from Github.
  • Tags for issues might help in order to sort them and stay organized.

I can create a PR for some points, but some are just not in my hand like issue tagging. That is only available for the project maintainers.

The problem with adding a proper description is that I simply don't know the facts I'd like to be clarified there. So unfortunately I think that this has to be done by someone with more knowledge. However I will try to create a PR for the points where I can help.

Created PR #67 for the Readme part. Unfortunately I currently cannot edit the wiki. Can you adjust the settings for this? Then I can also move the install parts there.
