Similar to what you can do in the Treemap charts, but in a comparison context.
Data dimensions available for drilling down include:
city agency hierarchy*
Department
Division
Org
accounts/line items (categories/accounts can themselves be segmented by department etc, which can be informative)
account category
account (line item)
funds - revenue streams or funding sources can be segmented by Fund (e.g. how much of the Police Department's spending comes from the General Fund vs other funds .... etc)
service area - not all budgets have this, as it's a recent addition under Libby Schaaf, but it's another way of "tagging" line items with the particular service priority they address.
This feature can get real complicated real quick, so some design and planning is required before plunging into development.
