We currently install Mediawiki 1.39.x (LTS), we should upgrade to 1.43.x, the current LTS release.
1.43.x supports PHP >=8.1 and PHP <8.4
Ubuntu 22.04 uses PHP 8.1 Ubuntu 24.04 uses PHP 8.3 Debian 12 uses PHP 8.2

The complication is that the secondary wikis, which we normally use as a test bed, are on a 20.05 machine that has a PHP that is tool old.
