Migration Deadline approaching - Aug 30 2023

Dear MAAP users,

MAAP is migrating to an improved workspace environment on August 30. We appreciate your attention regarding the details listed below so that we can ensure a smooth transition.

Changes to Services:

• We are moving from *.ops.maap-project.org (old) to *.maap-project.org (new)

• New ADE: The new ADE will be accessible from ade.maap-project.org.

• MAAP-py changes: If you are using the maap-py library in your notebooks and have the maap_host variable set, please make sure to set it to api.maap-project.org.

• Gitlab Shutdown repo.ops.maap-project.org: The Gitlab services will be discontinued permanently as we transition to the new platform. Please make sure to save any pending work and migrate repositories from old Gitlab to the new one https://repo.maap-project.org/ or on public GitHub.

• Workspaces: All existing workspaces on the old ops will be terminated please make sure to save any ongoing work. All saved data to /projects and public and private buckets will automatically migrate as soon as you log in to the new ADE.

• Sharing of workspaces: Workspaces created in the new ADE will have to be re-shared with collaborators.

• Algorithm Re-registration: After the migration, you will need to re-register your algorithms to use them on the new platform. Please use the new algorithm registration process as the old registration script and algorithm yaml will not work. Next Steps:

• Log on to ade.maap-project.org and check out the new workspaces.
• Re-register algorithms using the new registration process (https://docs.maap-project.org/en/latest/getting_started/running_at_scale.html#Register-an-Algorithm). You can now register algorithms directly from public GitHub and are not required to have algorithms on the MAAP Gitlab but you can continue to do so if you like to.
