Proposal from the Orange team for a collaboration with Collab.Land.

Abstract

Orange is an open protocol that aggregates Web3 data and reputation models to generate comprehensive reputation proofs in the form of Verifiable Credentials (VCs) and NFTs. It can be used to objectively calculate and assess the "reputation" for a Decentralized Identifier (DID), and associated wallet addresses. It takes multiple data points into account to assess user behavior and preferences.

Integrating with Collab.Land to make Collab.Land data join the larger ecosystem of data sources in Orange Protocol will enable more inventive utility across applications and fields in Web3. The enhanced interoperability through VCs and NFTs between Collab.Land and other information-rich platforms through Orange Protocol would create evolving value for community members.

Motivation

Collab.Land wants to offer a variety of ways for communities to assign membership based on increasing precision and customizability.

Orange wants to increase integrations and use cases to create a richer, more interoperable Web3 ecosystem by allowing users to privately and securely unlock their data from siloed repositories.

Timeline

1. Orange integrates Collab.Land as a data source via its APIs.
2. Orange and Collab.Land host a promotional campaign where active users can earn a special reputation NFT/VC based on a Collab.Land usage model. Orange is currently doing this kind of campaign with other collaborators such as Aave Grants DAO.
3. Collab.Land integrates Orange into token-gating functionality for community managers to gate their Discord and Telegram communities via Orange reputation VCs and NFTs.
