Confusing arrows (ie --> and <--) in the logger middleware

Why?

enum LogPrefix {
  Outgoing = '-->',
  Incoming = '<--',
}

Why not?

enum LogPrefix {
  Outgoing = '<--',
  Incoming = '-->',
}

I mean:

The client making a request to the server, so:
Client --> Server (incoming message to the server)

The server making a response to the client, so:
Client <-- Server (outgoing message from the server)
