Description

Implement Form Submission toPDF Export API.

To-do

• Research on PDF library. Given doc, docx, or template, they should generate/convert to pdf.

Apache POI + Opensagres PDF Converter

How it works

• Apache POI do the docx placeholder replace (need implementation).
• opensagres pdf converter do the pdf conversion.

Can do

• docx to docx
• docx to pdf (not perfect)
• xlsx to pdf (not confirmed)
• xlsx to xlsx

Can not do

• placeholder replace (need implementation)

How it works

• Apache PDFBox do pdf to pdf manipulation.
• Edit existing pdf and write to new pdf docs

How it works

• single application (docker image provided)
• worx, powerpoint, and excel generation
• support tag/template replace

Can not do

• pdf conversion (they suggest to use libreoffice headless but the outcome will be not perfect)'
• distribution. can not redistribute with pro license https://docxtemplater.com/faq/.

• pdf converter (must comply with itext → LGPL)
