It should be nice if the plugin can hold a parameter in order to continue working when the source files do not exists.
Something like: "continueIfNotFound" or something like that.

This is something interesting. One could also implement a property reader
function that accepts the file, the property name and a default value.
However I don't have time to invest on new feature. If you want to open a
PR and detail the ongoing feature before to implement it I will be happy to
review the pull request and release the new version.
