Switch to a ligthweight base OS #108
Comments
At this stage, nvOC is no more tight coupled with Ubuntu, so it is technically feasible. Other people already suggested Lubuntu, so it's likely someone will try running nvOC on Lubuntu to see how well it works. If you would like to setup on your own a Lubuntu based rig powered by nvOC you are invited to do so, but at this point it's too much effort for us to provide support for an official Lubuntu image variant. |
I am running it now on https://clearlinux.org/ and is blazing fast, however i have removed the auto switching capabilities. Its a early alpha, however i can build you a image if you want to test it. |
I can test it too doftorul. But Why do you removed WYM switching or Salfter's Switchings ? Is Python the problem ? I think it's possible to add theses ptyhton scripts, so i think you decided to removed voluntary for you... |
Should i close this issue? |
leave it alive as a reminder, I labeled it as suggestion so I think it is ok as long as your suggestion has not been refused |
would it be possible to switch to a lighter weight setup like lubuntu?
