Maybe based on Elastic Search. If Docker is the main mode of installation, it's easy to add it in a separate container and doesn't make setup any harder.

That's not a bad idea. I wanted to hold off on building a search feature out-of-the-box because, historically, they've been a reliable amplification vector for layer 7 DDoS attacks.

What I may end up doing: Between now and v2.0.0, develop a search feature into a Gadget that integrates with Hull. If the implementation isn't terrible, and people want it, I'll make it a core feature.
