Change IP Address to allow for remote Xcloud usage #4
Comments
You should be able to run the program locally and then in forza, set your laptop ip address for the telemetry(or something like that, port forwarding may be involved). If you are running this program in xCloud, i currently do not have a way to modify the endpoint, but I guess it could be done (although I don't know a lot about xCloud to know if this is a reasonable solution). |
Yeah I am running this through xCloud. Assuming it’s not as easy as setting the IP address in Forza to my public IP, then receiving it through your application? |
In theory it could work if xCloud, your ISP, your router(although this should be configurable), and computer firewall(also configurable) do not block it. Those issues would apply whether this program runs in xCloud or on your computer. Wouldn't hurt to try, but probably isn't plug and play. I would ask in the DualSense Discord to see if anyone else has attempted this(I think I remember someone mentioning it). I am also going to change your title so that others may see it. |
I will also try to get the IP address to be configurable, but I cannot currently test anything. |
Thanks heaps. Once you’ve added configureable IP more than happy to test and report back. thanks for the discord I’ll check that out also. |
I’m wanting to change the IP address, I’m using xCloud so hoping you can add this option on the settings?
Hoping to point the data to my laptops IP address for telemetry data.
