TP-Link Smart Home integration in Home Assistant repo. Yes, definitely. This one is completely abandoned for half a year, no commits except automatic ones like sponsors list. Radiator valves stopped working like in June release and the fix, submitted by someone months ago, has not been merged. |
I discover this one today, i use HomeAssistant-Tapo-Control since the begining and it is perfect |
Hello, I have been using this integration without issues to control and monitor my P100 and P110. Now not only we have this one but also an official HA integration (Tp-Link Smart Home} and Juraj's integration which is mainly for controlling the cameras (linked above). I personally think that is reasonable to use the official integration just to reduce overhead and for long term security. But going by the comments on this survey by the maintainer, there are reasons to keep your devices running with it. So read and prepare before switching and if you migrate to any other integration, document it so ;) |
Aha this maybe explains it. I have 2x subnets & one lot keeps disconnecting every 24hours. So time to swap to home assistants own integration does anyone know if it uses local connection or always through the cloud? |
I see that it has been months since the last commit and that many issues are stale or have been closed automatically. Should the project be considered abandoned?
Is it worth switching to the Kasa component integrated in Home Assistant, is it sufficiently mature?
