Vo2 MaxGarmin unlocks certain workout metrics and fields based on the Garmin device you personally own, one of those metrics is VO2 Max. This means that if your personal device supports VO2 Max calucations, then your Peloton workouts will also generate VO2 Max when using the default P2G device settings. If your personal device does not support VO2 Max calculations, then unfortunately your Peloton workouts will also not generate any VO2 Max data. |

Welcome! You're probably here because you have a question related to one of Garmin's "special-sauce" data fields like Training Stress Score or VO2 Max.
P2G does not calculate or send these values to Garmin. Instead, Garmin inspects the data from the workout file, runs it through it's various rules and algorithms, then spits out it's calculation.
When trying to understand why one of these values is not calculated (or seemingly incorrectly calculated) for your P2G workout, it is best to start with the Garmin documentation to understand all of the rules and criteria needed for Garmin to correctly calculate these values.
On many of these articles you will find that Garmin has varying requirements that differ based on the Device that the activity was uploaded from. P2G can simulate uploading from most Device types and with P2G v4.2.0 this configuration can be done via both config files and the UI.
In the past, folks have had success with working around Garmin's various rules by changing the Device that P2G simulates. I hope that as folks continue to discover Device configurations that work for them, they will share them in this forum for others to use.
