We have a problem with conda-forge pypy build (conda-forge/phono3py-feedstock#9). The version 1.20.0 depends on phonopy 2.7 (<2.8). There is only 2.8.1 for pypy.
How strong is this dependence? Meybe we can broaden it to include higher versions or maybe release a new version synced with new phonopy? Otherwise I will abandon the pypy build for now.

It is easier for me to release the latest develop branch of phono3py for the dependency to phonopy 2.8.1 or later. Is it OK?

Sure - whatever you decide. This is low priority. The build robot noticed that the only missing dependence of phono3py got build for pypy and triggered the rebuild. I would like to have it done for completeness but there is no real hurry at all.

Great. Watch https://github.com/conda-forge/phono3py-feedstock/pull if you want to monitor how it goes.
