I landed here by accident and am thrilled that Lightning Launcher is not dead after all. Was already looking for another launcher. When is where to expect something new from Lightning.

Thanks...

I mean if you want something, you can contribute to the source code.

I doubt new features will be added, I'd be more satisfied with fixes for the crashes. I need to sit down and debug it at some point to figure out what's causing the crashes (usually when navigating on maps, it will crash in the background).

When: when someone spends time on it.
Where: probably here (in this repository) and maybe also on the forum.

Personal note: I still want to spend time and at least upgrade to the latest android version, but once I managed to help Pierre publishing it (and I'm still very grateful he did so) I'm now back to spending time on my own projects. I'm sure I'll work on this eventually, but it will be in an indeterminate amount of time from now. Fortunately (or unfortunately) for me it doesn't crash, so I still use it without any issue on my main Android 13 phone.

I'd love to help, because I really love Lightning Launcher :)

Previously I've gotten stuck on the verbosity of the older Java version, but if there is interest I will either deal with it or convert small parts to Kotlin (which should still be interoperable).

I have a mental list of a couple small bugs, too.
