Seems to be a bug in the Hoverboard API, see this issue for reference.

There is definitely more than one bug. The one mentioned in bipropellant/bipropellant-hoverboard-api#17 was fixed for me with the PR bipropellant/bipropellant-hoverboard-api#18.
The pushing seems to be broken by something else, which would need to bee looked at.
My guess is, that something with the callbacks is not registered.
IF I fix this, I probably would also add an easy lambda callback that notifies Usercode when an update happened.
