I have some scenarios where notifications are being pushed frequently from the server (hookbox, over CSP) and the long-polling starts to look too much like frequent polling. Any type of streaming would be preferable (XHR, iframe, HTML, multipart, you name it).

BTW, I need to support all the major browsers, so the websocket enabled few are a drop in the ocean...
