hello, I've been using cosmic for a few months and it's been great overall, even in it's work-in-progress state. But I noticed that somehow I keep missing almost all of my notifications - I don't see them when they appear, I just suddenly notice that the notification center icon has changed, and the notifications are from 30 minutes ago. I don't think this used to happen back when notifications were at top center of the screen, it seemed a lot easier to notice them. I know that it's possible to move the notifications applet to the center, next to the clock. But then it honestly gets frustrating, because now the clock is a bit off the center, it has an unnecessary icon next to it, and the notifications themselves appear a bit off center as well.
would you consider including an option to have notifications appear in top center regardless of where the applet is situated? Or is this something more suitable for community devs to do as an optional tweak?
I don't know whether sound effects for notifications are planned, they could make it easier to notice, but... some apps or websites might still have soundless notifications, plus you might sometimes mute your computer, and there are people with hearing impairments, so... I personally think centered notifications would still be useful.
also, as a side request, I would really appreciate if there was an option to make notifications not disappear until you hovered the cursor on them, or otherwise configure the timeout before they disappear and go into the applet.
