Restrict credential to single FROM address (+tag)

I'm trying to grasp how to configure postal. My goal, I have

• many applications
• an internal domain
• an external domain
  Each application should be able to contact postal at postal.internal:25 and send mails as [email protected].

I thought at first that credentials would restrict the FROM addresses to the name of the credential. i.e : credential named bendem, domain configured example.com, I can only send using bendem[+tag]@example.com.

But apparently, credentials give access to any FROM address on any configured domain of the mail server or organisation.

Am I missing something? If I can't restrict per credential, is there a way to restrict another way? Maybe at the mail server level?

Unfortunately in your case Postal is just designed to send whatever messages it is given. If you need to restrict what address people use, you would have to do that in whatever application people are using to send messages.
