When server issues or unanticipated broker behavior raise ERROR message in the server, the evidence is in the trace log and there it sits unless someone takes the time to look at the logs. Ideally, tournament administrators should know about errors as they happen, preferably by email shortly after the end of a game. This could be done by simply searching for the string ERROR in the sim trace log after a game is complete, and if the search comes up non-empty, putting the game ID and at least the first few occurrences in an email.
