syslog and alice watch show black screens "unless" you click those tabs in the GUI first.
Example:
go to Dialog View
Refresh Browser
Click syslog and alice watch and you should see black screens for both
go back to Dialog view and click refresh again
In dialog View type " what time is it "
Go back to alice watch and syslog and both screens are still blank
Now do this:
Refresh browser
Click syslog and Alice watch ( should be black screens still)
click dialog View
Type "what time is it"
Now go back to alice watch and syslog screens and you should see the expected text in both screens
With that in mind perhaps when a user connects to the GUI or refresh's the GUI, in the background the GUI secretly loads alicewatch and syslog into the browser so that the user gets the expected context in those screens regardless if they have clicked into those screens already or not ?

i can only speak for myself , but i'd like to see it implemented. I find it frustrating when something has glicthed for example and you go to syslog/alice watch to view the issue and its just a blank screen. :)
